Best Budget Friendly Gaming PCs and Laptops

This guide is made to recognize the 5 most useable gaming PC’s and laptops out there in the market. These are low budget affordable set ups that should be able to deliver the right performance for the low budget gamer. Budget Gaming PC is hard to come by. Here are the very few…

1. Lenovo H50

Lenovo H50 This desktop is a very interesting mix of power and performance. Even though it can be configured at will for the right mic of components, our recommendations will surely set you up for the best buyer and gaming experience on this one.

The makers have done something quite smart with this one. They have literally turned a laptop into a desktop. It uses a 6th generation intel core i5 processor for power. Now that is a modest processing chip for a desktop because it is a quad core processor. It can deliver great performance given that you are not dealing with power graphics designing or extreme multitasking. But, otherwise this will be a breeze for you.

It also comes with 8 GBs of RAM which is quite adequate for the low budget gamer. There is also an internal 1 TB of HDD available her to go along with the RAM inside which is fairly decent in this budget. An intel HD 4600 graphics engine is present inside but it is not suitable for gaming as it is a mobile graphics processing unit. The motherboard itself has a slot for the PCI express which you can fit with a graphics card of your choosing.

The downside of this build includes the external power source to begin with. For any desktop PC that is a major flaw. Also, since the internal components don’t consume that much space, it could have been and should have been made in a more compact case. You can play most games just on your desired settings. You’ll have to lower them. But, pretty sure there won’t as much disturbance in your gameplay as your thinking. You have to keep in mind that this is a low budget pre-built desktop. Let us consider putting in a GTX 960 in here. In that case, you will certainly have no problems with the settings or resolution. Most games will be play able and you will certainly have a great time.

Overall, it has a roomy interior and it is light weight. It can’t handle graphics intense gaming but a casual gamer can get quite a kick out of it if necessary. It is a pretty decent system for normal things like watching movies in full HD, listening to music with a 5.1 channel surround sound, editing and light gaming. You can play some graphic intensified games but on low settings and low resolution.

In conclusion, this is a great set up on a low budget. It might have a few drawbacks but it can still get the job done. And if you want more than what it offers you will have to add more cash to get better performance of course.

2. ABS Logic-Frigate Gaming Desktop

ABS Logic-Frigate Gaming DesktopThis desktop pc is meant for moderate gaming and heavy entertainment usage. It is packed with intel core i3-7100 processor and it is clocked at 3.9 GHz processing speed. It is primarily a 64-bit dual core processor though with 3 MBs of L3 cache per processor. This build is really a great one as it comes with 8 GBs of DDR4 RAM and the storage isn’t lightweight either. It has 1 TB of storage so that should more than just fulfill your storage needs. Now the best part comes in. It has preinstalled 64 bit windows 10 and the GPU is powered with an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 with 2 GBs of memory.

In any case, this desktop CPU set up has a lot to offer. Most games are playable in this form factor. It does not let you down. You’ll surely be able to play most games with ease. The new releases which require high end set ups might have to be played on moderate graphic settings but that shouldn’t be that big of a letdown especially in this budget. Most games will run like a breeze and most should be playable on max graphics. The ports in the front though look a bit ill place especially the microphone and the audio port.

The case is amazing to look at. It is pretty noise resistant. Most importantly, due to the cooling and the power supply being highly reliable, it does not suffer from any power failures or overheating. No matter how much you put it through, it will stay noise and heat free.

But, on the off side of things. It has a few problems as well. The clear panel on the side should have had a dust filter. Also, it seems that the casing is made up of too much plastic. It has a very weak build and it won’t sustain too much pressure. It has to be used with care. The over use of plastic makes it’s highly fragile. Also, the cables supplied on the inside aren’t of high quality so you might even end up replacing them. The power supply is also an issue here. It could have been much better especially the build quality.

Overall, this should suffice for a low budget build for gaming purposes. It may not have the build quality but it surely makes up for it by supplying great power and graphics. With a few good tweaks and a few extra bucks, you can easily make this desktop PC workout for you. It’s easy to maintain, setup and even comes with great accessories. The LED casing is a great attraction and it has to be one of our top recommendations if you are on a low budget. Even though it has a few problems, they can easily be taken care of if you are not sloppy. Just make sure you take care of it so that it can take care of your gaming needs.

Given that you have a reasonably good display monitor; you should be able to get the best visual output available in the market. This PC is the perfect mix of performance and style. Also, the purple neon light inside the casing that illuminates is quite satisfying to look at.

The RAM capacity is also phenomenal with 16 GBs and the storage is just too much. 2 TBs of HDD is more than just enough storage. You’ll surely have a hard time filling it all up. But, it weighs a lot, 32 pounds to be exact so it isn’t lightweight. But that should not be your concern anyway as it is a desktop PC. So far, no gamer has ever had any complaints regarding the performance. It delivers amazing graphics with high color density and pin point contrast ratios.

4. Dell Inspiron 15 7000 Gaming

Dell Inspiron 15 7000 GamingThis has to be one of the best gaming laptops on a budget. Excellent performance comes with its super processing power. It supplies the gamer with a full HD gaming experience.

It comes packed with a powerhouse processor from intel, a 7th generation core i7-7700HQ. You can also find an i5 version of this as well. The graphics processing unit is great as well. With an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050ti available with 4 GBs of memory, the visual output on the display is just too much to handle. You can easily play any and all games of recent times in the market with ease through this GPU. Moreover, the cooling system on it ensures that your gaming experience stays uninterrupted. It also packs some good RAM worth 16 GBs of memory. So, you have lots of space to multitask and get things done the way you want. Even if you are not a gamer, this laptop comes really handy for designers and animators and editors.

Now let us talk about the design and the build. This laptop has been made with a retro feel to it which is both good and bad. Whether old school is the way to go or not, the red highlights on the heat exhausts and the dell logo looks pretty cool. But there is a lot of plastic in a lot of unfamiliar places like the heat exhausts. Its finishing is classy but not modern. Connectivity wise, it has most amenities available to most laptops that is USB-C, SD reader, Ethernet port, HDMI 2.0 port etc.

Dimension wise, the keyboard and the track pad are great as well. The keyboard is grippy and has a nice low backlit for nocturnal usage. There is also a number pad included. But the track pad is simply amazing. It is of course Microsoft precision based track pad so it comes with all the perks of multiple finger control and windows 10 gestures.

The display on the other hand could have been a lot better. It does not have the reliability in terms of viewing angles. The viewing angles are pretty narrow and we would recommend using an HDMI monitor if possible because every time you shift you position, the screen needs to be tilted for the right viewing angle.

The laptop though has an amazing set of built in speakers. There is a subwoofer underneath the chassis. The music is great in terms of quality and clarity on it. The subwoofer even adds some much needed extra bass. The microphone is decent as well. On the other hand, the webcam is actually decent. It has face tracking so that’s a plus but other than that, there actually is nothing more to say about it.

Overall, this is a great laptop. The price might come off as a bit steep but we would say that you will have a very hard job if you try to find something equal in performance at this price.

5. Lenovo Legion Y520

Lenovo Legion Y520This is another powerhouse of a laptop by Lenovo. The Legion Y520 comes with great specs for the diehard gamer. It is powered by an intense core i7-7700HQ CPU by intel which is clocked at 2.8 GHz processing speed. Think about it! This much power under that sleek design is just phenomenal news. But there is more. The RAM and storage strength on this laptop is pretty noteworthy. It consists of 16 GBs of DDR4 RAM which makes this laptop pretty quick. No matter what you do, you’ll never fall behind, well unless you are lazy of course. And the storage is just too hot to handle.

It has a 256 GB PCIe solid state drive for best efficiency and another 2 TBs of HDD on the side for mass storage. What more could you even ask for. I’m pretty sure you’ll be lost in the content if you even end up filling up all this space for real. So, this laptop is practically lag free. You can open up 40 tabs on Google Chrome but not find even a hint of delay in any of work.

Now let us talk about the graphics. The graphic processing unit on this laptop is the Nvidia GTX 1050ti with 4 GB of VRAM. You can play almost any other game, even the new releases with ease on this one. Just crank up all the graphic settings to high or very high and experience the brilliance of the visual output that is clearly evident in the gaming experience. Full HD experience at 60 fps is just another days’ business for you now. No matter what the game, as long as you have the Legion Y520 by your side, you are set to have a great time.

But, it lacks a definitive audio system. Whether you are playing games or just watching movies, the fact is clearly evident that the speakers are low quality. It is loud and it is clear but the fine details of such a high end laptop should not have been overlooked in this manner.

The mouse and the keyboard are great too. The keyboard is well designed, responsive, agile, and has a bright red led backlight. Typing fast on this keyboard has the best feeling you can imagine! On the other hand, the mouse pad is a bit different and requires a bit of getting used too.

But the worst thing about it is the screen definitely. It is the right size, a decent 15.6 inches but the performance on the basis of color contrast and pixel density is fairly low. This also suffers from a fairly dull color even in full HD and you can barely see a thing if you don’t have the screen on full brightness.

Overall, great performance mixed with a bad screen output. The price is great though for the specs so you can avail this at a fairly lower trade off.
